Roger wrote to his wife Ruth to tell her all that had happened. He said in conclusion - "It has been a truly tragic weekend. Inspector Yeo say it will not do either of us much credit. He may be right. We are told that God moves in a mysterious way His wonders to perform. I cannot help asking myself what would have happened had I not chanced to visit Old Nick's Folly just when I did. So many people were concerned. But we must be content if we are permitted to play our little part in life's great drama."🏁
