Paradise Lost by John Milton
Paradise Lost by John Milton
Paradise Lost
by John Milton
Satan sat high on a throne of royal splendor that outshone the wealth of Hormuz and India, surpassing even the richest treasures that the gorgeous East showers upon its kings in barbaric pearl and gold. Raised to that wicked eminence by his own merit, he had risen from despair beyond all hope, yet still aspired insatiably to pursue his futile war against Heaven. Untaught by his defeat, he displayed his proud ambitions to the assembled fallen angels.🏁
